The American Legion is the largest veteran's organization in the United States of America. We are committed to supporting active military, as well as veterans of all conflicts and their families. Since its founding in 1919, the American Legion is pledged to promote national security, patriotism in America, mentoring American youth, and caring for veterans. Post 613 is an integral part of Finleyville as well as surrounding communities in the Mon Valley area.

Our Morrison-Ritchie Post has been part of Finleyville for over 85 years.  We have a dedicated group of people here who are active in our community.  We conduct Memorial Day services and ensure that each local veteran's graves is properly honored with a U.S. flag.  We are part of the Finleyville Firemen's Fair, marching in the parade and helping to run a booth to support them.  We collect funds and donate toys to needy children at Christmas time.  We present several school awards for student excellence in our area.  We participate in the Mon Valley's Veteran's Day ceremonies and always have a contingent in that parade.  Our involvement is much appreciated locally and regionally. I'm sure you'll find our membership to be friendly, helpful and welcoming.
